Why are ticks so obsessed with me?

I feel like every time I go hiking, I end up bringing home a tick. Is there something about my body that attracts them more than others? Would love to hear if anyone else feels cursed!

Ticks hang on grasses and brush, waiting for something to brush by them, and they attach themselves to that something. Apparently you are that lucky something.

When you know you are going to be hiking in an area that is brushy, wear insect repellant, and clothes that have been treated with permethrin, and you should be fine. Also, think about wearing a hat, preferably one that has been treated with permethrin.
