I've been exploring the world of hot sauces and recently got hooked on a few different Tabasco flavors. The Chipotle version has been a real standout for me — it's got that nice smoky flavor without overwhelming heat, making it perfect for pretty much anything I throw together.

This whole journey has me curious about what everyone else keeps on hand. I'm not looking for anything rare or super spicy — just that trusty bottle that's always ready for action. You know, the one you instinctively reach for when you're about to pile some hot sauce on eggs, tacos, or even your leftovers.

Do you lean towards classics like Texas Pete or something different like Cholula or Crystal? Maybe you've got a hidden gem that I should check out?

I'm primarily after that everyday flavor that adds a kick without turning my meal into a fiery experience. What's your go-to hot sauce, and what do you like to slather it on?

FWIW, I used to favor Tabasco, and after that it was Cholula. Good stuff, both of 'em! More recently, I was traveling and there was a bottle of Frank's Original on the table - tried it, and liked it! Definitely at the "everyday flavor that adds a kick without turning my meal into a fiery experience" end of the spectrum, which must be where I'm at right now, because I bought a bottle ehen I got home. Says on the Frank's label that they make a milder version, and some hotter versions also, which might allow somebody to match their preferences, if they like the taste. As always IMHO, YMMV, etc.
