I stopped going to my old range

New management took over and suddenly everything's a safety violation. We can't draw from a holster, can't do rapid fire, can't shoot anything they deem 'too loud,' and the RSO stands behind you critiquing every shot. I get safety, but when the rules make it impossible to actually train, it's time to find a new spot

Sorry about that, Alan. I respect all safety rules but I know constant hovering can feel a bit much. I believe a smaller range will do, staff tend to trusts experienced shooters more.

I felt the same way about ranges. Eventually, it stops being real practice and feels like just punching targets under supervision. Good training needs movement and speed, not someone always looking over your shoulder.
