I heard folks say brass frame revolvers can stretch over time from heavy loads or lots of shooting. I've been curious how much truth there is to that. Do they really loosen up quicker than steel frames, or is it just talk?

There's truth to it, brass frames are softer and can wear or stretch more under heavy, repeated high-pressure loads. Proper load selection, regular inspection and avoiding +P rounds keep them serviceable for years.

What's up, Jason! Yeah, you heard right, the brass is softer than steel. Heavy loads can peen the frame where the cylinder hits, making that gap bigger. Keep the loads light and you're good for a long time.

All good advice, but let's be real, that brass frame is for looking pretty at the range! Treat her like a Sunday cruiser, not a work truck. Stick to low-key loads or you'll be giving your gunsmith extra work
