Took the wife and sister in law to the range the other day.

The missus did fairly well at 25 yards with the Springfield armory 2020 rimfire.
I'm still testing ammo in it. Though I certainly have found it's best budget loads, there's still some unsettled dust in the mid priced range.
I may or may not complete the research as she's claimed my rifle.
Sis in law had a good time with one of the AR9's. No photos of that to show, but she did settle down with it fairly quickly

That Springfield 2020 in the pic looks like a tack driver. My AR9 likes 147 gr FMJ for 25-yard groups, shoots nice and soft. CCI Blazer runs good in my Springfield too.

I once took my girlfriend and her friend to the range with a .22 rifle. It took a few rounds, but they both picked it up quickly and had a blast

the 2020 is pretty remarkable for the price point. It has earned my general recommendation.
I have a coated cast lead 124 load that I use out to 100 in my AR9. Seems the 9MM takes some work to dial in a load. but the potential is in there even if you have to work for it
