I've been tinkering with my guns lately and realized how much the right accessories can improve the experience. My favorites are a quality red dot sight, a good sling for field use, and Magpul grips for comfort. What about you all? Any accessories you can't live without?

Nice setup, those accessories really transform a rifle. I can't live without a reliable optic, a comfy two-point sling, and a quality trigger job, also backup iron sights and a decent light

I used to be a fan of the red dot, but as I evolved, I don't like them nearly as much.
Give me an lpvo with a good ballistic reticle.
Magpul... Yeah I have to give them some props

Backup iron sights are clutch...good call on that. A good trigger job makes such a difference too. What optic are you running?

LPVOs are versatile and great for those longer shots while still being quick up close. What magnification range and reticle are you running? Magpul just makes solid stuff that works, hard to argue with that

I have a 2-7 Mil dot Atop my AR9 carbine.
About the only thing I'd change about it is magazine pattern.
Currently it's Colt SMG style, where I think I'd rather have Glock.
The smallest mag I can find in the Colt style is 20 rd. A glonk pattern can use G26 mags on up to drums making it a practical small game gun on up to Rambo approved options.
The mil dot makes easy work of chaining down the wild trajectory of the 9mm.
At 2x, target acquisition is plenty quick, at 7x, it seems well matched to the 9mm's full potential.
Despite the magazine pattern, it's easily a better go to than, say, a Ruger 10/22
